I think the amount of hype they have is perfect, if a bit underrated.

Overrated. Every other family with a dog in my province either has a beagle or a husky and the beagles insist on making it sound like there's a fox hunt going on 24/7.

I’m gonna have to say overrated unfortunately, because of all the people that get one for the wrong reasons. There is a reason the vast majority of landlords in my area absolutely will not rent to anyone owning a Rottie or mix thereof. 😢

Overrated lol, I love them (obviously) but I'm seeing more and more awfully bred & ones who really aren't in the best home situations which obviously causes awful behaviour
