I'm pretty much an amateur in cat colour genetics,  but have been dealing with horse colour stuff in sim for a while now.  My new Siamese kitties are confusing me when I compare their genotype to their stated colour. Can I have some confirmation that I'm reading the notations as the correct genes?

The ones I'm a bit confused about are these:

My understanding is that Locus C in cats is the colour point gene.  C is fully pigmented? But I have Imperial Antiquariana (reg no 447) who is noted as an apricot tabby point,  but has CC.

The other is that my understanding is that Locus A is agouti and controls the presentation of tabby markings.  But the same cat as above has aa, despite being noted as tabby. And Imperial Phaedrae (reg no 448) is a seal tortie point but has AA.

I think I have to have my wires crossed somewhere.  Am I misunderstanding the notations?

Thanks for letting us know! You are absolutely correct and I have fixed up both genotypes for you. Please let me know if you do spot any further erroring. Sometimes we get a bit tunnel vision doing a lot of registrations haha.
